Qualitätseinschätzung und -gewährleistung für die deutsche Zahlungsbilanz

Dieser Beitrag gibt einen Überblick über die aktuellen Arbeiten zur Qualitätssicherung in der deutschen Zahlungsbilanzstatistik. Neben einer zusammenfassenden Einschätzung werden gegenwärtig angewandte Maßnahmen zur Gewährleistung der Qualität der deutschen Zahlungsbilanzstatistik vorgestellt. Darüber hinaus werden Problematiken bei der Datenerhebung erörtert sowie ausgewählte Inhalte der im Jahr 2007 aktualisierten
Ergebnisse eines Entwurfs für einen ersten Qualitätsbericht präsentiert. Dabei wird auf eine ganzheitliche und prägnante Betrachtung sowie auf ein ausgewogenes Maß an qualitativen und quantitativen Einschätzungen Wert gelegt.
In diesem Beitrag wird gezeigt, dass die Messung und Beurteilung der Qualität statistischer Daten mehrdimensional ist und nicht immer zu eindeutigen Ergebnissen führt. Generell bleibt aber festzuhalten, dass die Qualitätsberichterstattung für den Nutzer wichtige Informationen für die Einschätzung der Verwendbarkeit der Daten liefert.
